Beginning his medical career with the study of MBBS and MS General Surgery, followed by all encompassing training, he earned his claim as a surgical oncology specialist with a DNB qualification. The landscape of Dr. Deka’s career was one in which the boundless energy of his commitment to patients was matched by a constant thirst for learning. He is also an esteemed member of organisations, including the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology, the Association of Surgeons of India, and the Association of Oncologists of North East India.
